Our Story...

Founded in 2007 by Physical Therapist and owner Nicole Ford, Little Angels Therapy began with a simple mission: to provide compassionate, high-quality therapy services directly to families in need. What started as a single-provider practice delivering in-home care has grown into a thriving, multidisciplinary organization. While we remained a small, dedicated team for many years, our recent growth reflects both resilience and an unwavering commitment to the communities we serve. In 2020, amid the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, we expanded by opening our first clinic location in Hickory—strengthening access to care during a time when families needed it most. Building on that momentum, we continued to grow with the addition of a second clinic serving the Caldwell County area in 2022, further extending our reach and impact.Today, Little Angels Therapy brings together a diverse team of highly skilled professionals across physical, occupational, and speech therapy, along with early intervention specialists and dedicated administrative staff. With a continued focus on personalized, family-centered care, we offer both in-home services and clinic-based therapy—expanding access while preserving the individualized attention that has defined us from the beginning. At Little Angels Therapy, our growth is a reflection of our resilience, our passion, and our unwavering dedication to helping children and families reach their fullest potential.

_e.png)
Nicole Ford has been practicing as a Physical Therapist since 1997, with a dedicated focus in pediatrics since 2005. Her passion for helping children grow, develop, and reach their fullest potential is the foundation of both her career and Little Angels Therapy.
She earned her degree in Physical Therapy from Daemen College in Buffalo, New York. Early in her career, Nicole worked as a traveling physical therapist, an experience that brought her to Wilkesboro, North Carolina in 1998—where she chose to plant roots and continue serving the local community.
Nicole’s clinical experience spans a wide range of settings, including skilled nursing, outpatient orthopedics, acute care, wound and burn care, and neurorehabilitation. This diverse background provides a strong clinical foundation that she brings into her pediatric practice, where she has specialized since 2005.
Nicole’s husband, Tom Ford, is also a partner in Little Angels Therapy and a Physical Therapist Assistant. The two met in Wilkesboro in 1998 while Nicole was working as a traveling Physical Therapist. Together, they have built both a family and a thriving multidisciplinary practice grounded in compassion, collaboration, and a shared commitment to serving children and families. They are proud parents of three daughters.
