Angela Ripley - PT
Angela earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from D’Youville College in Buffalo, NY in 2011 and has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Though she is a Virginia native, she has lived around the United States as a travel PT and served on many mission trips as a physical therapist to Rwanda, Dominican Republic, and Nicaragua. She has diverse physical therapy experiences treating in multidisciplinary outpatient hospital-based clinics, private practices, inpatient units, acute rehab, home health and early childhood programs in Virginia, Oregon and North Carolina. While working in a children’s hospital in Virginia she acquired special training for casting and fitting of lower extremity orthotics as well as serial casting. Her specialty is movement, but focus is providing holistic care. She also has special interests in how vision affects movement and a certification in functional nutrition counseling. For every child to reach their potential, she believes it’s the therapist’s and caregiver’s responsibility to find what motivates the patient and cultivate an environment of intentional play, supporting learning opportunities and high expectations. She enjoys time with her husband, family, Bible reading, traveling, horses, and any outdoor adventures that involve a board, wheels or a rope.
